Whether you’re after a night of top-class comedy with Jason Manford’s handpicked acts, an intimate evening of live jazz and pizza, or an inspiring dose of theatre with National Theatre Live’s Inter Alia, the line-up is bursting with unmissable experiences.

National Theatre Live Screening: Inter Alia, at Macready Theatre on Sunday 21 September 7pm

This Town at The Macready Theatre, Rugby on Saturday 4 October 2pm.

Witness the powerful spoken word of Rory Aaron in This Town, a modern epic exploring loss, PTSD, and friendship in a post-industrial landscape. Praised for its "fantastic flow and beautiful rhythms", this boundary-pushing performance delves into male friendship, masculinity, and sexuality. Optional post-show creative writing workshop where you can explore themes of place and identity through poetry and create your own masterpiece.

Getting a Taste for the Bard at Macready Theatre on Saturday 4 October 7.30pm.

As part of Rugby’s Literary Festival, Macready brings Shakespeare into the spotlight!

Shakespeare on Toast author Ben Crystal is in the hot seat, as Dr Varsha Panjwani (NYU Lecturer & award-winning Women and Shakespeare podcaster) dives into his creative process. Audiences can expect a masterclass in Shakespeare’s poetry style, a taste of original pronunciation, and critical discussions on The Bard himself.

Black Is The Color Of My Voice at Macready Theatre on Friday 10 October, 7.30pm

Inspired by the life of Nina Simone and featuring many of her most iconic songs performed live. Apphia Campbell’s acclaimed play follows a successful singer and civil rights activist as she seeks redemption after the untimely death of her father. She reflects on the journey that took her from a young piano prodigy destined for a life in the service of the church, to a renowned jazz vocalist at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement.

Teachrex Live at Macready Theatre on Sunday 19 October 10am and 12.30pm.

Step into a prehistoric adventure with “TEACHREX”, a unique one-hour show that brings life-like dinosaurs roaring to the stage! Delivered by primary school teachers, this interactive experience teaches children about the anatomy and life of the mighty T-Rex, combining education with stunning effects, music, and plenty of dino fun. Families will meet baby dinosaurs, receive a free activity-filled Dino Booklet and crayons, and get the chance to come face-to-face with some of the most realistic beasts ever seen. Perfect for curious young minds, this show promises to entertain, educate, and inspire.
