Tanks Trucks and Firepower Show, Dunchurch, Warwickshire, 26, 27 and 28 August 2023.

August Bank Holiday brings you the most exciting show of the year – The Tanks, Trucks & Firepower Show presented by the Alvis Fighting Vehicle Society. This is the Midlands premier living history military show, and it takes place in Dunchurch from 26 to 28 August 2023.

It’s loud, atmospheric and exciting! Visitors can meet and talk to more than 80 re-enactors who will have set up their period camps and trench systems, bringing the whole scene to life as they demonstrate living history on the battlefields.

More than 300 tanks and military vehicles will be on site giving you the opportunity to talk to the owners, see the vehicles close up – and see many of them in action on the huge main battlefield. Military helicopters will be landing and taking off over the three days and each day there will be a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) flyover. On Saturday it will be the Spitfire, Sunday will be the Hurricane, and Monday it will be the helicopter. Monday is also Classic Car Monday.

Exciting demonstrations will be going on throughout the long weekend. Both on the main field and in the arena amid the incredible display of military vehicles. These shows include the big tank exercises when they let loose the biggest and heaviest Main Battle Tanks outside of the British Army. The CVR(T) tank display will perform high speed mobility demonstrations that will leave you breathless. These are amongst the fastest tanks in the world and they will be roaring through massive explosions and flames for visitors’ entertainment!

Battle re-enactments, powerful demonstrations of massive military vehicles, military motorcycle displays. If you’re considering joining the Armed Services, the Army Recruiting Group OT will be there to talk about life in the British Army as a regular or a reserve. On site will be representatives of E Squadron The Royal Yeomans, 103 Battalion Reme, 159 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps, the 222 Medical Squadron, and the 202 Field Hospital. You can even take a (paid) tank ride in a British Army CVR(T) and experience travelling across the vast main arena of Warwickshire countryside.
