The Birmingham Literature Festival has announced its full programme of over 40 fantastic events and experiences taking place around the city from 9 - 19 October.

There is something for everyone - readers, writers, poets, budding writers and the fully fledged experienced! The amazing lineup of talks, workshops and performances includes: The Best of Everything with Kit de Waal; Crime Fiction Workshop with Natalie Marlowe; The Proof of My Innocence with Jonathan Coe; Bad Romance with Caroline Lea and Kat Dunn; Short Stories: Writing the Everyday with Lisa Blower; Climate Justice with Selina Nwulu; Workshop: a Regional Writers Meet Up with Lisa Blower and many more workshops, author talks, book launches and author panels. Head over to the website and see what takes your fancy.

Events take place across Birmingham, full details and maps to easily reach these venues are on the website. They are: Birmingham REP, The Exchange, Birmingham Cathedral, The Priory Rooms and The Birmingham Conservatoire.

You’ll find a digital programme on the festival's homepage, and all event tickets are now on sale and can be booked via the ‘book tickets’ page on the website.

Also, for the first time ever, Festival merch is available to purchase from the iconic Birmingham brand Punks and Chancers. So you can have your very own t-shirt like this one, beautifully modelled by poet Bradley Taylor, who will be providing poetry on-demand across the festival weekend.

The Birmingham Literature Festival is a project of  Writing West Midlands, the literature development agency for the region. They are a charity and an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.
