The Bear Pit - packed full of entertainment

What’s on at The Bear Pit April and May

Preview.

The Bear Pit in Stratford-upon-Avon is absolutely brimming with entertainment. We've put together a quick roundup which starts with TONIGHT! Friday 21 April. There's not a moment to lose if you want tickets for The Dark Side of the Ledge, performed by Meet on the Ledge. Warwickshire-based folk-rock favourites and Bear Pit regulars return to the Bear Pit to mark the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s legendary album The Dark Side of the Moon. The concert will feature songs from this legendary album along with selections from Pink Floyd’s extensive back catalogue including Arnold Layne, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall, Wish You Were Here, and many more.

Sunday 23 April, The Bear Pit cinema are showing Shakespeare’s birthday screening of Shakespeare in Love. 7.30pm start, tickets are £5 I believe.

A Very Curious Poison – a Consensus Opera Production, written and adapted by Tim Johnson runs from 27 – 28 April, however it is sell-out. You’re advised to try for tickets on the night in case there are any returns.

From 3 – 6 May, Back Streets, a Street Arts project by Jackie Lines. Back Streets is a hard-hitting new play by Jackie Lines. It tells the stories of some of the people who live homeless on our streets, people whose voices are rarely heard but have things to say about the society we live in. The project is supporting the homeless and vulnerable in Stratford-upon-Avon.

From 10 – 13 May is Nanna’s Knickers by Andi Hardy, a Phoenix Players production. The Phoenix are back! This time, they're giving us a light-hearted look at family life when it goes a bit wrong! With characters we’ll all recognise, this cheeky play is full of double entendre for ages 16+ and above.

Finally for May, from 24 – 27 May, is the Stratford One Act Play Festival. Go along and support the best of community theatre with their One-Act Festival at The Bear Pit Theatre.
