Lust. Gluttony. Sloth. Envy. Wrath. Pride. Greed. No, it’s not a new authentic political party manifesto. Nor is it my list of new year’s resolutions. This is SINS, a dark, immersive live experience where theatre, psychological tension, and audience participation collide in real time.

The intriguing new experience comes to the Albany Theatre, Coventry, on Thursday 10 September. A mysterious figure known only as The Examiner takes centre stage at the Albany Road Theatre, where seven individuals are placed before him, each embodying one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

As their stories unfold on stage, audiences discover how ordinary decisions can quietly spiral into irreversible consequences. But make no mistake - SINS is not a passive theatre experience. Using their own mobiles, audience members are drawn directly into the performance through anonymous, real-time decision-making. Judgement trials, timed choices, and moral challenges are woven into the narrative, each vote shaping what happens next.

No one sees their choices. No one knows how they voted. But every decision matters. This is not horror driven by jump scares. Instead, it builds something far more unsettling: collective responsibility. The tension comes not from what is happening on stage - but from what the audience chooses to do.

Every performance unfolds differently. Some lives are spared. Others are not.And when the night ends, the question that lingers is not what The Examiner did, but what you chose when you were given power, silently and anonymously, to decide.

SINS is at the Albany Theatre, Coventry, on Thursday 10 September at 7pm. Running time is approximately 2 hours and age guidance is 16+. There is no on-stage audience participation. Participation is by mobile device. Tickets are £42 and can be booked via the Box Office on  024 7699 8964 (Mon-Sat 10:30 - 13:30) or by visiting: https://www.albanytheatre.co.uk/shows/sins
