Lerner & Loewe’s My Fair Lady is a “loverly” entertaining reflection of the differences between the upper and lower classes of Edwardian Britain.  It is considered to be the true classic of musical theatre, beautifully crafted with witty lyrics, a humorous script, vivid characters, and numerous memorable songs.

The Leamington & Warwick Musical Society (LWMS) eagerly awaits the stage of the Royal Spa Centre as the quotes below reflect:

“We're so excited to bring Edwardian London and high society to life on the Royal Spa Centre stage. From Tottenham Court Road to Royal Ascot, My Fair Lady is the perfect journey through all walks of life, and we know you will leave the theatre ready to "dance all night"!”

“What I love most about My Fair Lady is that beyond the unforgettable songs and sparkling dialogue, it’s really about someone discovering their own worth. That journey still feels incredibly relevant. It’s been such a rewarding process shaping a production that celebrates the scale and glamour of the piece while keeping the relationships honest and grounded. Our cast and crew have worked tirelessly to bring every detail to life, and I’m so proud of what they’ve created. I honestly can’t wait to share it with audiences.”

“The production’s costumes vividly highlight the contrasts of the world on stage, shifting from scene to scene and even within individual moments. The opening in Covent Garden contrasts the street sellers with the elegant patrons of the Opera, while the Ascot and Embassy Ball sequences provide two of the show’s most iconic visual scenes. Throughout, the costume design thoughtfully charts Eliza’s journey, tracing her transformation from flower girl to a poised and respectable member of high society.”
