A fabulous family Easter pantomime will be staged by Funny Business Theatre Company based at the Hare and Hounds in Coventry. Run by husband and wife team, Chris and Charlie Lewis, this year’s show marks five years of Funny Business producing shows. Cinderella is their 10th production. It was written by Charlie who is also co-directing the play with husband Chris.

It’s also the couple’s 10th anniversary from when they first met. “We were both in a production of Cinderella," says Charlie. "He played Buttons and I played an Ugly Sister. This time we are swapping roles. Each year we put on a small panto at Christmas that lasts two or three dates and then a big Easter Panto.”

Charlie adds, “For this production, we are lucky enough to have Liberty Dance and Performing Arts on board to choreograph the show.”

Funny Business are a community based theatre company who keep their prices very low so that as many people as possible can access theatre. They also take their shows into schools on occasion, and they provide educational shows for secondary schools.
