Sister Act: The Musical, at Rugby Theatre from 29 July - 2 August 2026. Performed by Rugby Theatre's Youth Project,
Preview by Annette Kinsella.
Holy habits! Packed with humour, heart and high energy, the musical comedy Sister Act is next up on Rugby Theatre’s historic stage.
Performed as Rugby Theatre’s Youth Project, Sister Act: The Musical follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, whose life takes an unexpected turn when she is placed in protective custody in a convent after witnessing a crime. Struggling to fit into convent life, Deloris discovers her true calling as she transforms the choir into a singing sensation, bringing music, friendship and renewed confidence to the entire community.

“Sister Act is a celebration of finding your voice – sometimes in the most unexpected places,” says the Youth Project’s founder Phil Kettle. “At its heart, it's about courage, community and the power of music to bring people together.”
Rugby Theatre’s Youth Project is open to budding actors, singers and dancers aged between 10 and 21, who stage a high-quality show after just 10 days of rehearsals, guided by a West End team. For those who don’t want to be on stage, there’s also the opportunity to be involved behind the scenes.
“Sister Act proves that miracles don't always happen quietly. Sometimes they arrive with disco beats, soaring harmonies and a standing ovation," continues Phil.

“Tickets are sure to sell out, so don’t miss your chance to experience this hilarious, heavenly musical!”
Sister Act: The Musical runs from 29 July - 2 August, with matinee performances at the weekend. Family discounts (multiples of four) are available.
