If you’re stuck for things to do this half-term, the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum have lots of activities for youngsters to get involved in.
It’s a great opportunity to meet Dippy the Diplodocus. The world-famous dinosaur measures a whopping 26-metres long and is a real treat for all ages—Dippy can be found in their natural habitat at the gallery’s covered court, along with their impressive fossil wall; featuring specimens from across the UK and replica Dippy skull (perfect for getting up and close with a real Diplodocus!)
There’s also a range of art workshops running throughout the May half-term. With the theme, Scenic Seascapes, children from the age of 3 upwards can explore watercolours, collaging and junk modelling in the Herbert’s sea-inspired half-term craft activities. 27 May – 3 June (excluding 29 May), 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. £2.50 drop in.
