Kate Bush fans (and their loved ones) will love this appreciation show for Kate Bush's soaring songs, magical dance moves, shiny lycra and whimsical wigs as will all music aficionados who understand how Kate Bush changed the world of pop music forever.
Last night's 'An Evening without Kate Bush' was a bright and lively, one woman fun tribute that revived, and in some cases, transformed, classic 'Bush' tracks that you may not have heard for ages and might even have thought you'd forgotten. The show is jam packed with Bush trivia that even super fans might have missed - until now - for example, who knew that we've all been singing Baboo ska 'all wrong' for decades?

Essence of 'the Bush' is beautifully evoked in every ballet step, every spooky skit and every silky skirt by Sarah-Louise Young who has a terrific voice with top class top notes and all of Bush's unique vocal quirks. Incredibly, Sarah-Louise really does sound exceptionally like Kate. There's also plenty of gags and cabaret style interludes to keep the show swinging along and keep the audience guessing about where we might be going next.

The second half turns up the tribute as 'the man with the child in his eyes' makes an appearance and we beg 'Cathy to come home' before 'Fans of the Bush' reach a happy, nostalgic climax.
