This May half term, Blenheim Palace has announced an exciting schedule of events and activities for families to experience which includes meeting miniature Shetland pony, Jack Brock, who previously appeared on Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend.
Families can enjoy a specially-introduced trail in the Walled Garden themed around Jack’s journey so far and his visit to Blenheim Palace, Park and Gardens. Upon finishing the interactive trail, children will get to meet and pet Jack the Shetland pony and receive themed bookmarks and stickers to mark their visit too. A dementia ambassador, Jack the Shetland pony will be with his owner Ali Stearn who will be taking donations to raise vital funds for Dementia UK.
During the May half term visit to Britain's Greatest Palace, families can also discover tropical butterfly species, including red lacewing, emerald peacock, the stunning blue wave as well as several zebra finches in the newly-renovated Butterfly House. When it’s time to refuel, head to the Walled Garden Pizzeria for freshly made woodfired pizzas.
For families looking for a whole day of half term fun, Blenheim Palace is also home to Adventure Play where little ones can unleash their imagination on the ziplines, slides, swings and tunnels designed for children of all abilities. To continue the adventure, take a ride on ‘Winston’ the miniature train, running back and forth between the Palace and the Walled Garden.
