Join Candide on a whirlwind, globe-trotting adventure packed with satire, romance and chaos. Guided by the ever-optimistic Pangloss, Candide and his beloved Cunegonde face disaster, danger and absurdity at every turn. Set beneath the big top, their journey unfolds in a vibrant circus world of tumbling acrobats, soaring aerial performers and a mysterious ringmaster pulling the strings. As optimism is stretched to its limits and the world spins wildly around them, Voltaire’s sharp wit and biting satire spring to life through the breathtaking music of Leonard Bernstein, composer of West Side Story.

This whirlwind opera is brought to the Warwick Arts Centre Theatre stage on the 12th and 13th February 2026 by the student society, Opera Warwick.

With a team built up entirely of university students, you are truly in for a treat of fresh talent and most importantly a great night out!
