The Talisman Theatre is thrilled to present Rachel Wagstaff’s gripping new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s ‘The Mirror Crack’d,’ running from Monday 23 June to Saturday 28 June 2025. Due to overwhelming demand, an additional Saturday matinee performance has been added on 28 June at 2:30pm. Evening performances are nearing sell-out, with Saturday night already fully booked.

Set in the seemingly tranquil village of St Mary Mead during the 1960s, ‘The Mirror Crack’d’ unravels a chilling murder mystery when a local woman dies at a cocktail party hosted by Hollywood star Marina Gregg. As secrets and lies surface, Miss Jane Marple must navigate a web of jealousy, ambition, and hidden truths to uncover the killer.

Directed by Peter Nouwens in his Talisman debut, the production promises a fresh and emotionally charged take on Christie’s classic. “This play stands apart from Christie’s other works,” says Nouwens. “Among her 33 original plays and adaptations, ‘The Mirror Crack’d’ uniquely interweaves past and present events across multiple locations, creating a rich tapestry of suspense and psychological depth.”

The role of Miss Marple is portrayed by Judy Wellicome, bringing the iconic sleuth to life with wit and determination. With Peter Nouwens not only directing but also designing the set, the talented cast and creative team have collaborated to deliver a production that captures the essence of Christie's storytelling while offering fresh perspectives on her characters.
