Friday Night is Musicals Night with the BBC Orchestra, Butterworth Hall, Warwick Arts Centre at 7.30pm.

 Lovers of the long-running Friday night is Music Night are in for a treat when the BBC Concert Orchestra visits Coventry.  The long-running show has been wowing its legions of loyal fans for more than seventy years with its frequent tours, each show focusing on a different theme. And as part of this year’s season the concert at the Warwick Arts Centre (Friday 19 June, 7.30pm), is pulling out a range of numbers from classic and contemporary musicals. 


Featuring West End singers Jenna Lee-James and Michael Xavier, the programme includes Overtures from Gypsy and Funny Girl, music from West Side Story and classic songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Andrew Lloyd Webber lovers are also catered for in this packed programme with music from Evita and Sunset Boulevard. 


It’s sure to be a night of spectacular music making and a real treat for the Coventry audience.
