Britain’s Got Talent champion and world-class illusionist Richard Jones heads to The Albany Theatre, Coventry with an unforgettable night of magic, mind-reading, comedy and wonder.
Coventry audiences are being invited to experience the impossible this September as Britain’s Got Talent winner Richard Jones brings his acclaimed live show, The Sound of Magic, to The Albany Theatre, Coventry, for one night only. Saturday 19 September 2026.
Richard captured the hearts of millions when he became the first magician ever to win Britain’s Got Talent, stunning both the judges and the nation with his unique combination of extraordinary magic and powerful storytelling.
Now, he is bringing that magic to Coventry with a spectacular, feel-good show designed to amaze audiences of all ages.
The Sound of Magic combines jaw-dropping illusions, impossible mind-reading, laugh-out-loud comedy, music and audience participation to create a show where spectators don't simply watch the magic — they become part of it.
Richard said: “I absolutely love performing live because you can never recreate the feeling of hundreds of people experiencing something impossible together.
"The Sound of Magic is much more than a collection of tricks. It’s funny, surprising, emotional and incredibly interactive. I want people to leave the theatre feeling uplifted and talking about what they’ve just witnessed all the way home. I’m really looking forward to bringing the show to Coventry and The Albany Theatre.”
The production explores the fascinating connection between music, imagination and the human mind, taking audiences on an empowering journey through Richard’s incredible life and career while delivering the seemingly impossible along the way.
Expect moments that will leave the entire theatre asking the same question: “How did he do that?!”
Richard, also known as The Military Illusionist, served for 12 years in the British Army before becoming one of the country’s best-known magicians. His extraordinary career has taken him from serving his country to winning Britain’s Got Talent and performing on some of the world's most prestigious stages.
But despite millions having watched Richard perform on television, he believes there is nothing quite like experiencing magic live.
The Sound of Magic has been created as a show for everyone - whether you're already fascinated by magic or simply looking for an exciting night out with family and friends.
There is also an exclusive VIP experience available for audience members wanting to get even closer to the magic.
