Whether you’re a serious toy collector, or you’re in a nostalgic mood and want to look back at the toys from your childhood, then the Barry Potter Toy Fair today at the Birmingham NEC is an event you won’t want to miss.

Collector Barry has been running his toy fair shows since the early 2000s, bringing together hundreds of specialist dealers and traders in a massive variety of toys.

There are thousands of collectables at each event ranging from model railways, diecast model cars, lorries, buses and aeroplanes. You will find everything from lovely old tinplate toys right up to the latest in Funko POP vinyl figures. This is the show to attend if you love classic film and TV memorabilia such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who, the Avengers, Marvel and DC Comic characters. And if your interest lies with teddy bears, Scalextric, Lego or comic books you’re sure to find something to interest you too.

Prices start at just a few pounds but can go up to hundreds for the very rarest models that you may discover. Also, if you have some toys or collectables that you’re looking to sell, you could take them along to one of the toy fairs, as many of the dealers are always keen to buy, and will pay top prices on the spot. You might even consider booking a stall yourself at a future fair – it could be a great way to turn surplus models into cash.

Barry Potter Toy Fairs take place throughout the year at the following places: Bolton Stadium, Doncaster Racecourse, Buxton, Coventry, Sandown Park, Staffordshire Showground and the Birmingham NEC.

Barry Potter Toy Fair, Saturday 27 December, from 10.30am - 3pm. Admission: adults: £10, Senior Citizens £9.50, Children £2 (under 5s free). Please note parking at the Birmingham NEC to attend a Barry Potter fair is FREE.
