Head to Coventry's Belgrade Theatre this weekend for what promises to be a fantastic FREE outdoor music and creative arts event for the family to enjoy.
Fusion 21 takes place in Belgrade Square from 12 noon until 3pm on Sunday (August 15).
Hosted by BBC CWR’s Sandra Godley (pictured), it will feature a packed programme of some of the region’s best music and artists, reflecting the vision and diversity of the City of Culture.
Performing will be local poet and rapper John Bernard, with his new single British Bake Off. John’s inspiring artistry covers social issues, youth empowerment, faith and purpose.
Coventry-based brothers Jordan and Wesley (JW Music) will follow John Bernard on stage. They have just released their first official single.
Also performing will be Lorna Dea. With a flair for mixing steady pop beats with a subtle undertone of Motown, Lorna has been described as a ‘real old school funk’ artist. Recently, her band have been bringing their unique sound to life with regular appearances across the UK.
Sandra Godley will perform a special set with gospel singer Monique. With origins deeply rooted in gospel, Monique has provided vocals for a variety of leading UK artists including Beverly Knight and the acapella quintet Black Voices.
Other acts at Fusion 21 include steel orchestra Phase One, 17-year-old hip hop artist KANDA, West Midlands artist Rich Keogh, and twins Stacey and Tracey.
