Dream for FREE thanks to the National Theatre

The last set of National Theatre shows to be streamed on YouTube has been unveiled.

The NT has made some stunning and varied shows available for free (although donations are requested), including Antony and Cleopatra, Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, Coriolanus, and One Man, Two Guv'nors.

Running on the NT YouTube channel this week is The Madness of King George (see our Reviews page).

On June 18, the stage adaptation of Andrea Levy's Small Island will be presented, adapted by Helen Edmundson. It stars Leah Harvey, Gershwyn Eustace Jr and Aisling Loftus.

This will be followed on June 25 by the Bridge Theatre's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, (pictured above) starring Hammed Animashaun, Oliver Chris, Gwendoline Christie and David Moorst.

The 2016 archive recording of Lorraine Hansberry's Les Blancs, directed by Yaël Farber, will be presented on July 2. It stars Danny Sapani, Sheila Atim, and Tunji Kasim.

On July 9, The Deep Blue Sea starring Helen McCrory will be presented, and the following week on July 16, the last in the series will be Amadeus, with Lucian Msamati playing Antonio Salieri.

Small Island, The Deep Blue Sea and Amadeus will be available on YouTube with Audio-Description.

The productions will be aired first at 7pm on their opening dates and will then be available for a week.
