Teatro showcases new talent and some old favourites!
In its capacity as the community, education and outreach arm of the Royal Spa Centre, Teatro Theatre School has been providing introductory theatrical classes to adults for a number of years. Members of its latest intake will be showcasing their talents at the Spa Centre.
The students come from a very diverse range of backgrounds and experiences and will be performing a number of short and thought provoking duologues.
Professional actor and Artistic Director Alan Gill (pictured right) explains: "It’s a joyous experience to work with so many talented people. I get a special thrill when someone, who has no theatre experience at all, joins us and discovers the sheer enjoyment of spending their free time being creative and making lifelong friends."
The second half of the evening provides some of the more established members an opportunity to preview their main house shows which they will be performing in March. The audience will be able to enjoy excerpts from the prize winning ‘Albertine in Five Times,’ by Michael Tremblay, the hilarious ‘Mother Figure’ from Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Confusions’ and the theatre classic ‘Table Number Seven,’ by Terence Rattigan.
It promises to be a fascinating and varied evening of wonderful drama .
Tickets on sale at the door at £8 (£6 concessions). Royal Spa Centre, 7.30 pm.
