Albany Theatre preview: Signals

Signals, Albany Theatre, Coventry, Sept 12 only.
In the control room of a remote radio telescope, two radio astronomers are searching for alien life across the universe. It's going to take years and years and they have only the science to sustain them, apart from warm tea and Jaffa cakes, that is.
This new comedy explores human connection, loneliness and how it feels to spend a lifetime searching for the intangible, and will clearly resound with anyone who has ever questioned their significance in an infinite universe.
Fresh from critical acclaim at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival, Signals lands at The Albany for just one night on a national tour that includes Newcastle and Sheffield.
Being staged as part of this year's British Science Festival, based in Coventry and Warwickshire (September 10-13), it comes from Footprint Theatre, for whom the two performers, Eve Cowley and Immie Davies, were Signals' joint writers, alongside Elin Schofield and Isaac Whiting.
