Autumn shows at the Albany Theatre, The Butts, Earlsdon
Autumn at the Albany Theatre has already begun and tickets for the season's highlight, Jason Donovan and His Amazing Midlife Crisis Tour, are selling fast.
The Aussie singer, celebrating his 50th birthday on the road, arrives at the theatre on Thursday 4 October, with an autobiographical show that features tantalising tales from his career, taking in Neighbours and Kylie, I'm A Celebrity, Strictly and much more.
There's drama on the early autumn bill too, with The Screwtape Letters (Wednesday 3 October), an award-winning satirical comedy that brings CS Lewis's classic book to life, and two children's shows, Guess How Much I Love You (Friday 28 September), which follows the adventures of Little and Nutbrown Hare through puppets, live music and interactive play, and Tabby McTat (Friday 12 October, daytime) a heart-warming tale of friendship and loyalty featuring original songs.
Music takes on plenty of different guises in the programme, from folk legends Lindisfarne (Sunday 30 September) to tribute shows celebrating the work of Roy Orbison (Thursday 27 September), Pink (Saturday 29 September) and Abba (Friday 5 October). Finally, the acclaimed Ballet Theatre UK return to the Albany with their new production, Beauty & The Beast (Friday 12 October). Tickets for that are going fast as well.
