From Mamma Mia to My Way it's a tribute

June 27, 2018

July 5-21, Belgrade Theatre, Coventry.

Over sixteen days in July, the Belgrade stage will be welcoming some of the UK's finest performers, recreating sounds from the 1940s to the 70s, and everything in between.

The season opens on Thursday, July 5 with the Johnny Cash Roadshow, led by singer-songwriter and native West Midlander Clive John. The only tribute show to have earned the endorsement of the Cash family, JCR will be taking concert-goers on a journey from the heyday of rock 'n roll to the year 2002.

One of the biggest names in European pop music will be celebrated the following night, Friday, July 6, when ABBA Mania will be laying on an unmissable evening out with dance-floor fillers from Dancing Queen to Mamma Mia, and from Super Trouper to Money, Money, Money.

On Saturday, July 7, Walk Like A Man revives the instantly recognisable hits of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, now immortalised in the multi-award-winning stage show Jersey Boys, while on Wednesday July 11, Unforgettable takes a step back in time to pay tribute to the legendary Nat King Cole. Created to commemorate fifty years since Cole's death in 1965, the show continues to tour, charting his incredible career from 1939-1962.

Doo-wop legends The Drifters take to the Belgrade stage on Friday, July 20, with a set packed with favourites from their extraordinary 59-year history. Over the decades, more than 65 vocalists have performed with the group, and the current line-up will be revisiting classic numbers like Under The Boardwalk and Save The Last Dance For Me.

Finally, on Saturday, July 21, vocalist Stephen Triffitt will be bringing his acclaimed touring tribute show Frankly Sinatra to the Belgrade. After three years in Las Vegas and a stint in the original West   End production of The Rat Pack Live, Triffitt has gone on to become a major name in his own right, performing sell-out shows at the Royal Festival Hall and London Palladium.

Tickets from the Belgrade box office on 024 7655 3055, or online at www.belgrade.co.uk.
