The road from Morocco to Coventry

I am here, Shop Front Theatre, City Arcade, Coventry, on Wednesday 7 June, 7.30pm.

Written and performed by Laila Alj this new piece of theatre is the second in a two-year theatre project, Are We Where We Are? created by award-winning Theatre Absolute.

Alj (pictured) reflects on her personal journey and questions how much of our lives are determined by choice and how much is simply a result of fate.

Born and raised in Morocco, she explores experiences both in her home country and abroad in an attempt to figure out how much control we actually have, or if it’s about the control we are willing to take.

This premiere performance will last approx 30 mins and will be followed by a post-show Q&A.

Julia Negus, producer Theatre Absolute said: “We are hugely looking forward to the performance and to welcoming Laila to our theatre space.

"The feedback we’ve had from audience from the first in this series of works has been incredibly positive, our audiences are enjoying the debate and questions these stories are provoking. If you didn’t make the first show be sure to join us and be part of the conversation for I am here.”

Tickets are £8 (full price) & £6 (concessions) available online via Oxboffice and includes an invite to stay for the post show discussion.
