Jackie stars in Positive Images festival
Jackie Hagan, Albany Theatre, Earlsdon, June 3.
Manchester-based poet, amputee and stand-up comedian Jackie
Hagan heads the line-up for a day of poetry, music and story-telling
at the Albany Theatre on Saturday, June 3.
Her evening show, Poetry from the Stage, described as poetry with
moments of dance, music, ‘the theatrical’ and comedy, raising love
for disabled artists, is part of this year’s Positive Images festival in
Coventry.
The show, which is free, also features Indian music and dance and
performances from a range of poets, national and local, including
the Coventry Live Poets. It starts at 7pm.
Earlier in the day, Coventry’s Pru Porretta, aka Lady Godiva, is one
of the storytellers at an Imagination Storytelling Café at the theatre
(2-4pm), alongside Kusumika Chatterjee and musicians Jah-man
Aggrey (drummer) and Chris Cook (sitar).
The event is supported by The Arts Council
